An M.A. degree with a required scholarly component (e.g. portfolio, thesis, synthesis research paper(s), development of computer software) based on original work.

As an interdisciplinary degree with content focused on life science content, this program is amenable for those in the teaching, medical technology, nursing, museum curatorial, and other professions. 

Several faculty within the biology and other disciplines at the university will form an advising committee to assist the student in developing a program tailored to their long-term professional goals and interests.
